We're actually working on a video on exactly that subject right now. There's no real danger of a collision (there's so much space between stars that collisions never happen), but it will certainly change the galaxy around us!

One interesting tidbit we had to cut for time and clarity is that the Andromeda Galaxy and the Milky Way are close enough together that they're probably going to merge into one enormous galaxy someday.
