I beleive when an experiment shows possibilities, not results, we should consider that the experiment itself might be a failure, and for some unknown reason it can't show us the events clearly enought, or something is not being considered. The attitude of scientists seems to be one of arrogance. You draw a conclusion from uncertainty itself."We don't know, therefore there is no answer", instead of, we don't know, so we should try harder"

Only in the sense that we feel better if we can use our science to increase our security in an inherently insecure universe.
There are strategies in game theory which depend on probablility. These are proof enough that we can optimize our choices in a universe which does not subscribe to our deterministic models.

Agree. A potential mistake they are making is attempting to interpret quantum observations via string theory in order to reconcile it with the (deterministic) relativity theory.
Perhaps the effort is backwards. Maybe we should simply accept quantum theory and figure out why relativity appears to be deterministic. The appearance of determinism may be an illusion.

Since the universe we must confine ourselves to is the "observable universe," rather than the "real" universe, unpredictable is what we are stuck with. Sometimes people confuse the two and turn religious in a single sentence.
We are trapped in Plato's allegory of the cave without the possibility breaking away from the chains. That is what the string guys are telling us.

The multiverse theory isn't actually random. It appears to be random because we can not sense the infinite other universes we exist in. Our physical brains make it difficult for us to grasp the concept that we not just following a single path through infinite possibilities, but rather, that we exist in many of the possibilities at the same time.

It is when experiments produce unpredictable results that we learn new things about the universe. If the results were predictable then we are only confirming what we already knew. Since the universe you are discussing here is not the "real" universe, but rather the universe of our science (a la Bohr), then it follows that our science ( and concommitantly its universe ) thrives on unpredictability rather than predictability. Predictability would be like entropic doom to science.
