I'm a big Obama fan, but I too am pissed that he doesn't really answer the question. Unfortunately, no other candidate really does either...

Where on earth did you get that out of what he said? He implied nothing about Iran's nuclear capability.

Iran doesn't have nuclear capability. Israel does, the US does, Pakistan does, India does, and many more do, but Iran does not.

Obama seems to be the type of person that will not get caught in a 1-track way of thinking, "this way or no way". He says he wants to converse and work with the countries. Now, since cooperation goes both ways, he would have to wait and see what their takes on the situation is, and come to a consensus. This is not the Bush style of "my way or the highway". I can sense that he actually views people in other countries as human beings, while still being moderate enough for the average American.

He is answering the question. Perhaps you just don't like the answer. He's saying we literally need to sit down and talk with the players in the region, help them figure out a plan for how they can get along with each other and be a part of stabilizing the region. And we do that by making sure they know it's ultimately going to be in their hands, because we won't be there forever. There choice.

OK, let me get this straight. His answer is "we need to sit down and talk and figure out something and then once we've talked and figured out whatever this magical thing is, we can go away." Nope I don't like the answer. Listen to some of the other candidates from this session (ya know, the ones who have no chance of being nominated, and you will hear direct answers with actual details, not evasive safe political mumbo jumbo).

Sounds like you like what the other candidates have to say. Perhaps you should support them and help spread their message. Positive energy is more productive than negative energy. At least that's what Obama supporters believe.
