Steve Perry High Notes

Here´s my main man and his incredible singing. 1. A B4 from "you know which song". 2. A mezza voce C5 from "good morning girl". 3. a D5 with a short drill to E5, from "party´s over". 4. a superb D5 from "after the fall". Notice the huskier tone that he started using after 1982. 5. the live version is even better! 6. A Eb5 from "opened the door" from houston 1980. 7. a E5 from "dead or alive" live in Houston 1981, I think he flips into falsetto at the end. 8. A F5 from a live version of "do you recall" off Captured CD. 9. A great F5 from "patiently" in houston 1980. 10. a falsetto G5 from "lay it down". 11. A falsetto G#5 from "la do da". 12. a falsetto A5 from "sweet and simple". 13. etheric F5 singing which ends on a A5, steve has never sung this song (somethin´to hide) live unfortunately. 14. the last verse off "mother father" which steve has said was the hardest song for him live. a few D5:s, one Eb5 and one E5. 15. the whole patiently cadenza from houston 1980, goosebump warning! 16. the same cadenza but from passaic 1979, here he switches to falsetto too early I think. 17. the great ending from "why can´t this night go on forever", several sustained C#5:s. 18. and finally the climax from "faithfully", top note is Eb5 and the sustained one afterwards a B4. Enjoy this voice which has lots of soul and emotion! PS. just found his highest note ever, it´s a short Bb5 (in falsetto) and it´s in the demo version of "homemade love" which sounds to be raised a semitone. his lowest is a F#2 in "can´t stop". DS

The unforgettable voice of Steve Perry will always be carved in my mind as words are carved into stone.
