I went on to listen to all kinds of different music after Punk Rock but i didn't switch to different music and closed the doors to punk, i expanded my musical horizons and i have to thank punk rock for that. If i had grown up listening to Commercial Pop music in my teens, i probably wouldn't even be listening to any kind of music whatsoever today.
