The modern pilots simply learn from their predecessors mistakes. merridy1970 ::: Favorites Fatigue or not ... nothing short of complete incompetence from this crew. Handling of an engine failure in flight is the most basic emergency procedure. Had they not become visual at 11,000 ft, and been fortunate to come out in a recoverable attitude, they would have not recovered! It is impossible to maintain altitude at 41,000FT with an engine out!
