Complete video at: http://fora.tv/fora/showthread.php?t=727 Former mayor of New York City and current Republican Presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani discusses his views on healthcare reform. ----- New York mayor Rudolph Giuliani spoke of reinvention, reinvigoration, and strategies to bring greater freedom to Americans when he spoke on Monday at a meeting of the Hoover Institution Board of Overseers in Washington, D.C. Complimenting the Hoover Institution on its mission and work, Guiliani told the 250 overseers and guests in attendance that "[Hoover] had made it possible for a whole new way of looking at government. You have given us intellectual depth and created change in the way we look at the interplay between government and the private sector." Giuliani discussed the need for the Republican Party to remake and redefine itself in order to meet the challenges of the 21st century. "In redefining ourselves, we have to give people more freedom," he said. He also discussed at length the careful and strategic management of taxation, education reforms, and entitlement reforms, all of which can and should provide greater freedom to citizens, he said. - Hoover Institution |

drenched ::: Favorites Giuliani is wrong. We do NOT have the best healthcare system in the world. Over 40 million Americans are uninsured. We rank #1 for most expensive healthcare system in the world, and #22 in health outcomes. We rank after Turkey for crying out loud. I believe in universal health care...no one should DIE because they are poor. 07-06-01 14:55:17 _____________________________________________________
u2bclarice ::: Favorites having the most advanced techniques is not the same thing as having the "best healthcare system." The profit motive is not in the best interest of the patient. I deal with this every day -- delay and denial ... they are banking the pt will either get well in spite of no care, or die and not need any more care. 07-06-03 03:27:15 _____________________________________________________
chunksloth ::: Favorites Here is my Giuliani impersonation: "9/11, 9/11 9/11 9/11, I was America's mayor. I lived through September 11th. In this post 9-11 world you must elect me." 07-06-08 17:13:09 _____________________________________________________
TouchingYou ::: Favorites NOTE: Rudy HIMSELF says he's a neo-Nazi who HATES democracy and free speech. EX: go to the videos put up by HIS team and his allies and note they block ANY COMMENTS by taxpayers (b/c they don't care at all what we think) and many of Rudy's videos ONLY ALLOW Pro-Rudy comments. Exactly like Hitler and Saddam. Probably coincidence, right? 07-06-15 14:40:49 _____________________________________________________
brutts ::: Favorites he is a boring speaker imo. McCain is the best republican candidate, but of course the GOP are so dumb (sorry) they're attempting to destroy him. 07-07-12 21:56:14 _____________________________________________________
JKDud ::: Favorites He pretty much said he wants to privatize the school system,I love it,GO RUDY!! 07-07-18 15:18:54 _____________________________________________________
flameracer14 ::: Favorites Then get a job with insurance. Most people just go for the hourly pay, and can careless about insurance until something goes wrong. I would rather pay out some money and see a doctor right away, as opposed to waiting months or years to go see a doctor. 07-07-25 10:58:08 _____________________________________________________
lds23464 ::: Favorites 71-year-old man scares NY tough guy and youthful pretty boy! Rudy and Mitt are cowards for not going to the CNN youtube debate. Are they afraid of the American people or Dr. RON PAUL. Either way they look like painty waist little girls! 07-07-30 10:08:50 _____________________________________________________
medicalex ::: Favorites "The American way" of healthcare of which Rudy is so proud has managed to produce the most expensive system in the world. Per Capita healthcare spending in 2004: US $6102, UK $2546, Canada $3165, France $3159. The "socialized medicine" systems that Rudy derides in the UK, Canada and France have lower Infant Mortality rates and higher Life Expectancy than the US. Infant Mortality Rate: US 6.4, UK 5, Canada 4.6, France 3.4 Life Expectancy: US 78, UK 78.7, Canada 80.3, France 80.6 07-08-01 09:48:49 _____________________________________________________
llDarko ::: Favorites america is number 29 in the world ranking of health care. BELOW Cuba... 07-08-06 02:54:05 _____________________________________________________ |
