ScottieDM ::: Favorites I was living in San Jose, CA (a bit south of San Francisco) just before the first earthquake shown. I moved from California about a month before the quake, so I missed it. But I didn't miss the foreshocks before the big quake. I remember waking up one night wondering what woke me, then a few seconds later the house shook. I must have felt the initial compression wave, which woke me in time to feel the secondary wave, which does more shaking. 07-08-15 03:35:56 _____________________________________________________
ScottieDM ::: Favorites Another time I was walking by Coyote Creek in Milpitas, CA on a hot day. I started to sway back and forth. I thought I was about to pass out, but wasn't dizzy. I looked at the trees and they were swaying too. Then I noticed mud come up from the bottom of the creek and for a moment thought it might be a big fish. Then I realized it was an earthquake causing these things. There were other times I felt small earthquakes in the months before the big one, and before I left California. 07-08-15 03:36:34 _____________________________________________________
