wilkins6029 ::: Favorites The AVP movie was trying to top the best from Alien, Aliens, Predator, and Predator 2. Alien 3 and Alien Resurrection don't count; I'd put those two movies in the same category as AVP. Alien and Aliens pretty much wrote the book on the scifi horror genre, and Predator and Predator 2, well, they're pretty standard action movies- but, the alien hunters were a new angle. wilkins6029 ::: Favorites The xenomorphs in AVP weren't really much. They weren't even scary. Alien, and especially Aliens, really played them up.
